This week, everyone has been discussing this article:

Florida woman forced to remain hospitalized by court order

On behalf of Florida's State Attorney, I apologize to all of Florida's pregnant women and women everywhere. For several years, Florida's State Attorney's office has ignored repeated offenses by obstetricians in Florida that directly violate Florida's Pregnant Patient's Bill of Rights.

I advise you to write your governor and your state attorney and let them know what you think of their current policy of forcing pregnant women into procedures, surgeries and hospitalizations that is in direct violation of their personal rights.

Re: Florida's Women At Risk

This is scary. Doctors and courts need to get over themselves and stop controlling pregnant women. She had every right to get a second opinion at a different hospital.
