Who We Are
Laureen is a writer, a scuba instructor, a sailor, a kayaker, a traveler, and an obsessive researcher who’s chiefly focused on, and delighted with, her husband Jason and her children Rowan, Kestrel, and Aurora. She’s a lifelong Californian, which lends a very distinctive spin to both her ideas and her politics, and she’s discovered, in her peregrinations, that the world is far smaller yet far more fascinating than anyone gives it credit for being. She holds forth her opinions on that, and life aboard a 47′ catamaran, in her blogs on The Excellent Adventure. |
| Kassandra Troy, RN, MA, has worked in maternal health for over 10 years. Safe, empowered birth is her passion. She is the mother of two active boys– the first arrived by unnecessarean after a typical hospital labour; the second born at home in the water.
Would you like to be a part of BirthAction’s Advisory Panels? We are currently looking for both professionals and consumers to give their opinions on what is important to mothers, how to improve our website and to help us keep our finger on the pulse of what is occurring in the birth world.
