1. State Insurance Commissioner:
The Consumer Services Division of the North Carolina Department of Insurance aims to respond promptly, clearly and courteously to consumers’ insurance-related questions and complaints, assist consumers in resolving those complaints whenever possible, and help consumers understand their options for dealing with insurance-related matters.
2. State Medical Board:
The Medical Board exists to regulate medicine and surgery for “the benefit and protection of the people of North Carolina.” We are a resource for patients and for medical professionals.

To promote and advocate for the elimination of health disparities among all racial and ethnic minorities and other underserved populations in North Carolina.
4. State Nursing Board Complaint:
In addition to issuing, renewing and reinstating nursing licenses for RNs and LPNs Board responsibilities include: approving and monitoring the state’s nursing education programs which lead to initial licensure; interpreting the practice of nursing based upon the state’s Nursing Practice Act; investigating complaints against licensed nurses; administering the nurse licensure compact; maintaining the Nurse Aide II registry and regulating the practice of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives.
